Once a solider of the light, Athos was part of the final battle to defend his home, but he was struck down by an Enderdragon causing him to fall in the ocean in Silveredge, crawling to the beach he went quickly and hid in the sewers, where he ran into his first vampire. To the vampire his blood was cloud nine but using his last bit of energy he sent a burst of light out of his hands destroying the vampire. the time between then and him joining the sentinels is unknown. but souces state that he was on the run from the Endermen.
